H2S/SCBA Safety Awareness

H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide) is a deadly or highly poisonous gas that is found in the nature especially in Oil & Gas industry. This can be created by natural biological process or human activity. As this gas is extremely toxic and corrosive, it poses a serious threat to human as well assets. Hence, everyone who works or visits oil & gas industry should have knowledge about the H2S gas hazards and risks and skills to respond to an H2S emergency.

The H2S Safety training covers the characteristics of hydrogen sulphide gas and the potential physiological effects due to gas exposure, use of H2S detection and monitoring equipment, their limitations and safe use various breathing apparatus.

Our Hydrogen Sulphide course has extensive hands-on practical session. That includes use of various H2S detection or monitoring systems, donning and doffing of 30 min SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus), 15 min work line unit and EEBD (Emergency Escape Breathing Device).

Our H2S Safety course requires 6 - 8 hours to complete its theory and practical session.

The H2S Safety course can be conducted at our training facility or at the Client’s premises.

Attendees who successfully complete the H2S / SCBA Safety course will receive a Course Completion Certificate from Empower Institute.
